The brief for this garden was to create a low maintenance garden which could be used by all the family. An area for sitting out together with a grassed area was the main requirement. The views out to the existing golf course were also to be retained. As the house was newly built the existing garden was grassed and therefore a blank canvas.
There is a deck beside the rear of the house. A gravel area interspersed with slabs has been created with sleepers providing a directional path down towards a seating area in the rear corner of the garden. This area will get the sun throughout most of the day and can be used for entertaining into the evening with the addition of mood lighting.
A large lawn area minimises the maintance and will allow an area for children's play.
The planting is a mix of evergreens and herbaceous plants aiming to provide all year round colour with little maintenance.
A small area for herbs has also been created adjacent to the house.
