A Family Garden

The brief for this garden was to create a low maintenance garden which could be used by all theCamera family.  A seating area together with a grassed area were the main requirements.  The views out to the existing golf course were also to be retained. As the house was newly built the existing garden was grassed and therefore a blank canvas.

There is an existing deck beside the rear of the house. A gravel area interspersed with slabs has been created with sleepers providing a directional path down towards a seating area in the rear corner of the garden.  This area will get the sun throughout most of the day and can be used for entertaining into the evening with the addition of mood lighting.

A large lawn area minimises the maintenance and will allow an area for children's play.

The planting is a mix of evergreens and herbaceous plants aiming to provide all year round colour with little maintenance.
A small area for herbs has also been created adjacent to the house.
